Leaders & Elders

Crew Community is an elder-led church. Elders at Crew are called by God to shepherd and lead the local church. They meet regularly to establish direction of the church, discuss theology, and lovingly disclipline people at Crew Community. According to the Bible, an elder is a man who has been called by God to this role.

Elders and leaders represent Crew Community Church as Christians, so leadership is not taken lightly. Each elder goes through a series of study, prayer, and meetings with the present elders. When the present elders see fit, he is brought before the church, allowing any concerns to be voiced to the present elders before the elder-in-training is promoted. Each elder goes through a two-year service cycle to keep things fresh and give them a break. The qualifications for an elder are taken from 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1:5-9.
