Missions - Reaching Our World

crossThe mission of every local church should be the same: to make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20). A disciple is a fully devoted follower of Christ. The church is to develop believers like that. We don't decide what it is. We just do it. Here's what it says:

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

We have chosen to take that Commission and put it into a short memorable sentence:

katrinaThe mission of Crew Community Church is to Pursue Christ with Passion and Present Christ with Purpose.

In addition to serving our community, we are called to spread the gospel throughout the world. We do this through the variety of ways. We support several missionaries across the world, both financially and via prayer. We strive to serve areas in need such as Gulfport, Mississippi after devastating Hurricane Katrina. Crew also supports organizations like Blood:Water Mission which helps reach out to African communities.
