Danny Lost a Tooth
Hey guys. My oldest son Danny lost his first tooth tonight. And it only took me 2 punches to get it out of there!!!! He's fascinated to think that a brand new and improved tooth will come out of the death of this old one. Did you know there's another story about death and renewal? Yeah, we talked about that too. Congrats, Danny!
I think it's a great thing for parents to work in spiritual lessons (especially lessons about the gospel) to their children whenever possible. Around Christmas our family usually has a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake. It's a red velvet cake-- the red represents His blood that was shed for us, and the white icing represents how his death on our behalf has washed our sins whiter than snow.
I'd love to hear ideas from other parents about ways they work spiritual lessons into regular, common family events.
