Trip Back To Momma (Part Last: Friday-Sat)
This was the worst day of the trip and the day I was grouchy.
7am-3pm: I had nothing to do this day and no apparent reason to be there. But because I pricelined my flight I didn't go home until 8pm. So I piggybacked on Bruno's remodeling job all day. I painted for several hours, made about 10 Home Depot trips, and silently reaffirmed my hatred for home repair. But I loudly reaffirmed my love for Bruno.
3pm-6pm: Cleaned up, ate dinner, packed, prayed, said goodbye to my friends. I love you guys and thank you so much for the unbelievable hospitality and love you gushed on me.
6pm-8:30pm: Checked in, sat in the airport Chili's and watched the Yankees lose!!!! I hate the Yankees.
8:30pm-6:30am: Flew to C-Bus, got my car, drove home to H-town. Fell asleep about 5:30am.
7am-11am: Sarah woke me up to move some things for this 400 home garage sell that happens twice a year in our subdivision. We made 300 bucks by the way.
11am-3pm: My dad came and rescued me and took the kids for the day while I slept until about 3pm and that's basically it.
I preached at a worship gathering Sat. night that I have much to say about, but I'm tired of blogging. So if you care, just ask me about it.
The saga ends!

Why does everyone HATE the Yankees. I know I do. They are a team that you either love or hate. .,. Why is that?
I am a diehard Cardinal fan. Does anybody HATE the Cardinals???? I think not many....Cubs fans maybe... that is just cause the Cubs just stink with a captial C.
Why do we even root for a team? What is the catch? What drives a guy to spend hours watching a game and rooting for one side. It is like a mini version of good versus evil in that we transpose the "good" label on our team "yea" and the "evil" / "bad" label on the other team and we hope that good triumphs over evil. What happens when evil is just stronger, faster, bigger, better coached than the winner..... We go into David and Goliath mode and root for right to prevail. When it doesn't do I feel frustrated and upset... yes I do. Why do O talk in we. I notice that Josh always talks in the I. What's up with that.
I read Tuesdays with Morrie the other day. Yes it made me cry. I kept realizing that the TRUTH is still the TRUTH whether it comes from a Christian or not. There were so many consitencies with what his philosophy was and with what God says, that sometimes I would swear it was God talking to me. Relationships, really being attentive to people, caring, being present, that's what is important. Love one another... AGAPE what a great word.
