Help For Mom’s and Dads
I’ve had several parents ask me about the Jesus Storybook Bible (see previous post). Well, Bob Kauflin (worship pastor at Covenant Life Church) linked to family worship guide.
I haven’t dug in yet, but enough to see that it is:
- Biblically/theologically Christ centered and trustworthy
- Nuts and bolts practical for parents and/or leaders (includes daily guides, tips, suggestions)
- Full of singing, Bible reading, verse memory, creeds, quotes, and Q & A. This stirs up our enjoyment of God and aids in retention of what we learn from Him.
Most evenings, my family and I have been reading through the Jesus Storybook Bible, praying for each other, and I would ask them questions about Jesus and who he is and what he’s doing in our lives and how we should respond.
This guide will be a huge resource to me as I lead our family in worship from day to day. Hope it helps ya’ll.
Anybody already using it? Love to hear your thoughts.

Josh, Thank you so much for your kind words about FamilyWorshipGuide.net. The project started off as a project for the families in the church I serve, but as I had ongoing conversations with colleagues, it became more and more clear that we might be able to resource families well beyond the our geographical scope. That's how the website came to be. So far, it has been well-received. I'm grateful for that and for the recommendations of pastors such as yourself.
